We are deeply honored to bring these artisanal Chazutsu (Matcha Tea Caddy) directly from our partner producers in the Kyoto region of Japan. For about 100yr, our partners have operated within this centuries-old tradition of producing the finest copper caddies. These traditional caddies have long been associated with Japanese Matcha Tea Ceremony.
Each caddy is produced through a complex hand-made process, each featuring the meticulous double wall construction, lifetime durability, and the inner lid which drops into the caddy to prevent air from entering.

These authentic caddies are ideal for matcha or loose leafs. The natural material is uncoated, and appreciated even more over time, as the copper develops a warm patina tint.

Directions & Care: These are natural materials, and the caddies are delicate and individually made by hand. are delicate items which are individually handmade. Do not wash these items. Remove any water with a soft cloth. When closing the caddy, check that the seal is in line to prevent any excess moisture or air from entering.
How to store: Avoid cold temperatures as it is susceptible to moisture and humidity. The high quality, tight seal of this authentic caddy ensures that your matcha will be ok in room temperature when the caddy is refilled periodically instead.
